Chocolate PB Protein Popcorn!

So, I was recently in a health food store when I saw "protein popcorn" for sale. Not going to lie, it looked delicious, but it was somewhere around 7 to 8 dollars for a TINY bag! I debated purchasing it, then I realized, "hey, wait, I can probably make my own...", so I put that bag down, got myself a $2-3 dollar, BIG bag of regular popcorn, and headed home!

The end result? Some delicious and refreshing, homemade, protein popcorn!

And now, you can make your own, too-- and all you need are 3 ingredients!

Chocolate PB Protein Popcorn!

I used Rule 1 protein, personally it is one of my favorite brands, but just about any chocolate protein should do.

* and you can order your protein (any brand!) through PhillyGainz.com using code MARIA10 for 10% off ;) *

In regards to the powdered PB, you can go either chocolate or original! I just so happened to have chocolate in my cabinets at the moment.

Be careful when adding your water not to make the mixture too liquefied. Add water slowly-- final consistency should still be somewhat thick to stick to/coat popcorn.

Freeze until coating is hardened, then enjoy! If you're leaving any behind, stick it back in freezer for later.

A great treat for these hot summer days, and an even greater treat for a movie night in!

Get poppin'!

MARIA'S FITNESS TIPS

#1

Set goals! Set both long and short-range goals to keep yourself motivated. Be sure that the short-range goals will eventually lead you to your big-picture, long-range ones. Consider them stepping stones on the path towards something bigger.

#2

Do what you like to do. Don't just start doing something because everyone else is; find what you truly enjoy and do that. In the end, if you don't have a genuine interest in your workouts and lifestyle, you're going to hinder your progress.

#3

Switch things up! I know this may sound kind of funny after just reading #2, but as humans, we can get bored of doing the same thing over and over. As well, our muscles can get "bored" and we can plateau. Do not be afraid to try new things and incorporate change to keep you entertained and your muscles guessing!
